Doctrinal Statement

What We Believe

God – We believe there is one and only one true God who exists in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the infinite Creator, Preserver, Redeemer, and Holy Ruler of the universe.

The Bible – We believe the Scriptures were divinely inspired and are therefore infallible and inerrant in the original writing. The Bible reveals God’s message and will remain to the end of this age the supreme authority by which all doctrine and conduct must be judged.

The Lord Jesus Christ – We believe He is the eternal Son of God. He was virgin born, lived a sinless life, died an atoning death, was bodily resurrected, and shall return to set up His eternal kingdom.

The Holy Spirit – We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin and judgment. He indwells and empowers every believer. He gives spiritual discernment so believers can understand the Bible, and He leads them to do God’s will.

Man – We believe that the human race was created by God, in His own image, and is the crown of all creation. Adam and Eve are the historical parents of the entire human race. They were created innocent of sin and with the freedom of choice, but they disobeyed God and brought sin into the human race. Thus, all persons are sinners in need of a Savior.

Salvation – We believe that all who receive Jesus Christ by faith are saved from eternal damnation. His salvation is offered freely by grace to all who will repent (turn from their sinful ways) and by faith accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe salvation is a gift from God, apart from any works, and true believers will reveal their salvation by changed lives.

The Future – We believe in an unexpected, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth to judge the world. We also believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved to spend eternity in heaven, and the resurrection of the unjust to everlasting punishment in hell.
